Job Title: Pharmacy Floor Technician
Schedule:
Weekdays: 4:30 PM – 1:00 AM
Every other weekend: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Overtime: Mandatory as needed

Position Summary
The Pharmacy Floor Technician is responsible for accurately preparing prescription medications for final verification by a pharmacist. This role involves picking, labeling, scanning, and packaging medications while maintaining efficiency and compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately fill daily medication orders under the supervision of a pharmacist in a timely manner
Pick and pull medications from shelves and storage areas, including prepack racks
Label and scan medications to ensure accuracy prior to pharmacist verification
Package medications and materials manually for distribution
Assist with prepacking frequently ordered medications during low-volume periods
Process returned medications and ensure proper recycling or disposal per procedures
Troubleshoot scanning issues and promptly notify the pharmacist of discrepancies
Maintain clean, organized workstations and restock necessary supplies
Adhere to all applicable regulations, including HIPAA compliance
Follow company policies related to safety, attendance, and dress code
Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work efficiently at a moderate pace in a fast-paced environment
Strong English communication skills (reading, writing, and speaking)
Active and clear pharmacy technician license (if required by state; not required in NY)
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a pharmacy technician or in a pharmacy setting
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and stoop throughout the workday
May be required to stand or sit for extended periods (7–10 hours)
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
Manual dexterity to handle medications and operate equipment
Visual ability to read small print, distinguish colors, and adjust focus
Ability to hear and respond to normal verbal communication
