    Job Description

    The Payroll / HRIS Specialist will manage the organization’s payroll and HRIS functions, ensuring payroll is successfully processed in addition to supporting HRIS activities and initiatives.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    ·       Process full cycle payroll for hourly and salaried employees including regular, OT, PTO, bonus and commission payments, garnishments, annual W2’s, etc. for over 1,100 employees across the US.

    ·       Advise location supervisors, managers, and employees to ensure all timesheets are accurately updated and approved on time.

    ·       Resolve discrepancies with payroll and or documentation to ensure accuracy of records and employee payments.

    ·       Respond to payroll and HRIS related inquiries and requests in a timely manner.

    ·       Document payroll and HRIS processes and identify best practices to improve efficiency.  Work closely with HR and Finance to understand end to end processes and opportunities for efficiency gains.

    ·       Generate reports for key filings, processes and stakeholders.  Analyze HR performance metrics and publish enterprise level reporting to key stakeholders.

    ·       Assist managers and employees in developing their skills and expertise in our payroll/HRIS platform including training on system functionality.

    ·       Optimize HRIS systems and processes by integrating new software.

    ·       Prepares for audits by providing records and documentation.

    Qualifications

    ·       Minimum 3 years Payroll/HRIS administration experience. 

    ·       Knowledge of a multi-state payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, payroll taxes, and reporting. 

    ·       Achieved the Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or the Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.

    ·       Proficient with HRIS / payroll software.

    ·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.
