  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The Buyer will be responsible for managing all aspects of the supply chain related to materials/equipment/services for Pharmacann’s manufacturing facilities and corporate office. This position will execute PO’s based on demand and will need to coordinate all execution with the Supply Chain and Manufacturing Teams.  This role will also be responsible for vendor management and adherence to quality and delivery KPIs per supply agreements.

     

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    ●       Manage inventory and verify purchase requisitions

    ●       Prepare purchase orders by verifying product specifications and price

    ●       Work directly with vendors to solve inventory and delivery issues

    ●       Negotiate product availability and pricing with vendors

    ●       Identify alternative suppliers to find substitute items when needed

    ●       Assist in simplifying the production environment, maintain optimal inventory levels, and expense management.

    ●       Analyze item requirements for upcoming projects and order all products to meet specifications.

    ●       Review bids from all suppliers and negotiate best price payment terms, and lead times.

    ●       Develop and implement supply management processes, best practices, and policies

    ●       Measure and report on cost saving strategies, Inventory reports, and purchasing reports for senior leaders

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ●       Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management

    ●       2+ years buying experience preferred

    ●       Knowledge of ERP systems

    ●       Project Management experience

    ●       Working knowledge of supply chain systems

    ●       Business analytical skills

    ●       Advanced Excel

    ●       Experience managing a complex vendor portfolio

     

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

     

    This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

    May require some travel. 

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
