Position Overview
CLFC Healthcare & Communications is seeking a Pharmacist to manage pharmaceutical services at a federal prison camp in Alderson, West Virginia. FPC Alderson is a minimum-security federal prison camp for female inmates in rural southeastern West Virginia. You will oversee medication dispensing, formulary management, and clinical pharmacy services, ensuring BOP pharmacy standards and DEA compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription medications and counsel providers on drug interactions and alternatives
- Manage controlled substance inventory with DEA compliance
- Conduct drug utilization reviews
- Maintain pharmaceutical inventory and procurement
- Provide clinical pharmacy consultations
- Participate in pharmacy and therapeutics committee
- Supervise pharmacy technicians
- Ensure compliance with BOP pharmacy policies
Required Qualifications
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy
- Active, unrestricted West Virginia pharmacist license (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS certification
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to pass federal background investigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Institutional or correctional pharmacy experience
- BCPS certification
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: $115,000 - $150,000 annually
