    Job Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team. This role is ideal for a pharmacist who is highly knowledgeable in sterile compounding, USP <797> and USP <800> standards, and pharmacy workflow management. In addition to compounding oversight, the pharmacist will also verify and dispense regular prescriptions while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, compliance, and quality.

    The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and able to balance compounding responsibilities with traditional retail verification duties.

    Responsibilities

    Review, verify, and dispense incoming prescriptions for accuracy, clinical appropriateness, dosing, and potential drug interactions

    Oversee and participate in sterile compounding preparation, ensuring full compliance with USP <797> and USP <800> requirements

    Ensure proper compounding workflow, documentation, and quality assurance processes

    Verify compounded and non-compounded prescriptions prior to dispensing

    Counsel patients on medication usage, side effects, storage requirements, and interactions

    Maintain accurate patient records and pharmacy documentation

    Assist with inventory control, including proper handling and storage of hazardous and non-hazardous medications

    Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant pharmacy and compounding environment

    Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient daily workflow

    Qualifications

    Active and current State Pharmacist License (required)

    Strong experience with sterile compounding and regulatory compliance

    In-depth knowledge of USP <797> and USP <800> standards

    Experience verifying both compounded and traditional retail prescriptions

    Excellent attention to detail and commitment to patient safety

    Strong communication and customer service skills

    Ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities

    Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software is a plus
