About the Role:

Haven Drugs in Medford, NY is looking for a friendly and reliable Pharmacy Cashier to join our team! This is a great opportunity to be the welcoming face of our pharmacy, helping customers with their purchases while supporting a dedicated healthcare team. Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers at the pharmacy counter with a positive, professional attitude

Process cash, credit, and insurance-related transactions accurately at the point of sale

Answer incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate pharmacy staff

Assist customers with over-the-counter (OTC) product locations and general questions

Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked front-end pharmacy area

Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with administrative and clerical tasks as needed

Ensure compliance with pharmacy policies, confidentiality standards, and HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Prior cashier, retail, or customer service experience is a plus

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Basic math skills and comfort handling cash transactions

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced pharmacy environment

Dependable, punctual, and a strong team player

Familiarity with pharmacy or healthcare settings is a bonus but not required
