Responsibilities:
Serve as a primary point of contact for customer and facility inquiries, providing prompt and professional pharmacy support
Process and verify prescription orders accurately for long-term care and skilled nursing facility patients
Coordinate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues
Assist with data entry of patient profiles, prescriptions, and insurance information into pharmacy management systems
Manage and track medication orders, refills, and delivery schedules to ensure timely dispensing
Support pharmacists with order fulfillment, labeling, and packaging of medications
Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
Active California Pharmacy Technician license (or registration) required
Prior experience in a retail, hospital, or long-term care pharmacy setting preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficiency with pharmacy management software and data entry
Knowledge of medical terminology, drug names, and insurance billing processes
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven, high-volume environment
