    Location: Old Town Pharmacy – Monett, MO Position Type: Part-Time Compensation: $15.00 per hour

    Job Summary

    The Part-Time Pharmacy Prescription Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and professional delivery of prescription medications, medical supplies, and pharmacy-related products to patients, healthcare facilities, and business customers. This position serves as an extension of the pharmacy team by providing exceptional customer service while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA, pharmacy regulations, company policies, and safe driving practices.

    This is a part-time position, generally averaging 15–25 hours per week. Work schedules may vary based on business needs, delivery volume, and customer demand. Flexibility in scheduling is preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safely transport prescription medications and pharmacy products according to established delivery schedules.

    Verify patient identity and obtain required delivery signatures when applicable.

    Maintain confidentiality of all patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

    Deliver medications to homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice agencies, physician offices, and other approved locations.

    Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, mileage records, and proof of delivery documentation.

    Collect payments when required and accurately reconcile collected funds with pharmacy staff.

    Communicate delivery delays, patient concerns, or medication issues promptly to pharmacy personnel.

    Assist with loading, organizing, and securing medications for transport.

    Return undeliverable prescriptions and documentation to the pharmacy immediately.

    Inspect company vehicle daily and report maintenance or safety concerns.

    Follow all federal, state, local, and pharmacy regulations regarding prescription transportation.

    Maintain a clean, organized, and professional delivery vehicle.

    Represent the pharmacy in a courteous, professional, and compassionate manner at all times.

    Assist pharmacy staff with light clerical duties, stocking, inventory, packaging, cleaning, or other operational tasks when deliveries are complete.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

    Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

    Ability to obtain any state-required pharmacy delivery permits or certifications.

    Strong customer service and communication skills.

    Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

    Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.

    Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

    Physical Requirements

    Frequently lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

    Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.

    Frequently enter and exit a vehicle throughout the workday.

    Ability to walk, bend, stoop, and climb stairs while making deliveries.

    Ability to sit for extended periods while driving.

    Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
