Today we are hiring a Pharmacy Retail Supervisor in Peridot, AZ.
The Pharmacy Retail Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy’s retail section. This role ensures high-quality customer service, manages inventory and staff, and supports the overall goals of the pharmacy. The supervisor acts as a liaison between pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and front-end staff to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- · Supervise day-to-day operations of the retail pharmacy area, ensuring high standards of customer service and efficiency.
- · Train, schedule, and manage pharmacy support staff (e.g., cashiers, pharmacy assistants).
- · Monitor and maintain inventory levels; coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment and resolve discrepancies.
- · Ensure proper storage, labeling, and display of retail products including over-the-counter (OTC) medications and health products.
- · Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance, including HIPAA and state pharmacy laws.
- · Resolve customer issues and complaints professionally, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- · Collaborate with pharmacists to ensure accurate and efficient prescription fulfillment.
- · Maintain clean, safe, and organized retail and work areas.
- · Assist in financial reporting, including sales tracking, budget monitoring, and shrinkage control.
- · Promote health products and in-store promotions; support marketing initiatives and community health campaigns.
Qualifications:
- · High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare is a plus.
- · Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment, including supervisory or team lead experience.
- · Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- · Familiarity with pharmacy software systems (e.g., PioneerRx, QS/1, McKesson, etc.).
- · Knowledge of pharmacy and retail regulations, including inventory control and customer privacy standards.
- · Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- · Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or equivalent certification preferred.
- · Bilingual communication skills are a plus.
- · Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
