Job Summary: Shipping Technician We're looking for a dependable and detail-focused Shipping Technician to join our 503A Retail/Compounding Pharmacy team in Albuquerque, NM. This crucial role ensures the safe, accurate, and timely packaging and shipping of compounded medications to patients and healthcare providers. The ideal candidate must hold a New Mexico Pharmacy Technician license and demonstrate a strong commitment to compliance, accuracy, and patient care. Please Note: Employment at EVEXIAS/FarmaKeio is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background and/or health screenings. Working Conditions: • Closed-door pharmacy setting; Monday–Friday only. • Frequent lifting (up to 40 lbs), standing, and repetitive movement. • Must follow all safety protocols, including PPE use and USP <800> standards when applicable. Responsibilities: • Package and prepare compounded medications and related supplies for shipment in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards. • Verify order accuracy, labeling, and packaging integrity before the final pharmacist check. • Ensure proper handling, cold chain maintenance, and documentation for temperature-sensitive medications. • Generate shipping labels and documentation using pharmacy and shipping software (e.g., FedEx, UPS). • Communicate with pharmacists and technicians to resolve any discrepancies or order concerns. • Maintain accurate records for shipping logs, lot numbers, and delivery confirmations. • Monitor and maintain shipping supply inventory, placing orders as needed. • Follow DEA, Board of Pharmacy, and USP guidelines for the packaging and transport of controlled substances and hazardous medications. • Ensure timely pick-up and coordination with shipping carriers for daily outgoing shipments. • Assist in receiving and stocking incoming deliveries when needed. Qualifications: • High School Diploma or equivalent (required). • Active New Mexico Certified Pharmacy Technician license (required). • 1+ year of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare shipping/logistics environment (preferred). • Knowledge of pharmacy compliance and shipping requirements, including cold chain and hazardous drug protocols. • Proficiency with shipping platforms (e.g., UPS, FedEx Ship Manager) and pharmacy systems is a plus. • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage time efficiently. • Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment with high standards for accuracy and confidentiality.
