Shift: 7 on/ 7 off Midnights

The Inpatient Pharmacy Technician operates under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and is responsible for the accurate and timely preparation of medications for hospitalized patients. This position is critical to patient safety and requires strict adherence to pharmaceutical standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and verify medication orders with precision, entering all orders into the pharmacy computer system with meticulous attention to detail
• Prepare medications and corresponding labels for dispensing in strict accordance with established pharmaceutical protocols and quality standards
• Deliver medications to designated patient care areas while maintaining chain of custody and documentation requirements
• Maintain accurate and complete drug inventory records in all dispensing areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Execute all record-keeping procedures with accuracy and integrity, maintaining confidentiality of patient information
• Process medication charges for services rendered with precision and attention to billing accuracy
• Demonstrate commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and pharmaceutical excellence in all assigned duties

Qualifications

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: **Requires high school diploma or GED. Requires a Pharmacy Technician License from the State of Michigan. 6 months pharmacy experience preferred. Must have the ability use a computer keyboard and type approximately 25 words per minute. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people under sometimes stressful situations, and be motivated to provide high quality patient care.
