    Job Summary

    We are seeking an Experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team! Our pharmacy has both a retail part and a Long Term Care part. As a Experienced Pharmacy Technician in the Retail part of the store, you will be receiving incoming prescriptions, checking for accuracy, and inputting that information into our system. You will also be accepting payments for prescriptions, receiving incoming inventory, maintaining the Parata robot inventory, and answering customer questions and concerns. The ideal candidate has great communication skills, strong organizational skills, exceptional customer service skills, and prior experience working in a fast-paced retail pharmacy.

    As an Experienced Pharmacy Technician in the Long Term Care part of the pharmacy, you will be inputting prescriptions being received, verifying for accuracy and working with a SynMed Robot on getting the medications filled. You will be working with other healthcare professionals over the phone. You will need strong organizational skills in order to meet the deadlines so the various Long Term Care facilities receive their medications on time. You will need to have good communication skills between the healthcare team, your pharmacists and our driver to ensure the right meds, reach the right patients at the right time.

    We have both Full-Time and Part-TIme positions available.

    Responsibilities

    Receive written and faxed prescriptions from both patients and doctor’s offices, verify the information is accurate, and input it into the system as needed

    Maintain proper storage and inventory of all medications in the pharmacy and within the robots

    Receive incoming inventory, verify the accuracy, log it within the system, and put it away as needed

    Maintain proper pharmacy records, including patient profiles, inventory logs, and more

    Accept payment for prescriptions and small transactions

    Answer phones and handle customer inquiries, referring to the pharmacy as needed

    Qualifications

    Must hold a valid California Pharmacy Technician License

    Prior experience in retail or LTC pharmacy

    Excellent customer service and communication skills

    Strong organizational skills

    Being able to type at least 35 wpm

    The ability to multitask and shift priorities, as needed

    Familiarity with pharmacy and medical terminology desired
