Position Summary:

This position provides an opportunity for a pharmacy technician with retail pharmacy experience to work and thrive in a locally owned and operated walk-in retail pharmacy. The job entails helping customers, answering phones, data entry, and compounding medication. The ideal candidate must have experience working in a retail pharmacy and be skilled in patient care within a pharmacy setting. The technician will gain a variety of skills working in a unique pharmacy setting. We work week days only, no weekends, nights, or holidays.

Essential Functions:

-Effectively communicate with physician offices, customers, and pharmacists -Data Entry and translation of physician prescriptions to generate prescription labels along with a general knowledge of Microsoft Word and other basic windows based programs -Assist with inventory management and storage -Ability to perform pharmaceutical calculations

Required Qualifications:

Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) preferred

Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Arizona

Must be able to adhere to organization policies and procedures

Must have the ability to work closely and effectively with others in a team oriented environment

Strong attention to detail

Must be flexible, friendly, engaging, and proactive

Ability to multi-mask and meet deadlines with little supervision

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced working environment

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy setting

Schedule: 8 hours with 1/2 hour paid lunch between the hours of 8am and 5pm. Monday through Friday only. No weekends, and no major holidays.
