    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Work with our client State of MD Department Human Services to execute SUII as follows: ● Deploy and configure region-based resource areas that integrate Cloud, on-prem, and machine learning. ● Develop corrective actions for issues and incidents that impact the initiative or production. ● Document and protect standards, procedures as well as system architectures given hardware platforms that meet or exceed State and federal guidelines. ● Implement technical solutions approved by OTHS Senior Management. ● Deploy/Migrate from existing tools to the tools that meet SUII. ● Utilize configuration processes using the Microsoft tools that are available to DHS.

    Perform tasks in support of the SUII initiative.

    Provide guidance and assistance to other senior engineers and OTHS staff.

    Ensure all solutions implemented by team members are configured in accordance with industry best practices and in compliance with DHS’ IT security standards.

    Provide guidance to the OTHS staff to ensure timelines and goals are met.

    Design and document automated processes where applicable.

    ● Track all projects using the OTHS’ project management dashboard. ● Submit all to the OTHS CMB/ECB for approval prior to implementation. ● A Root Cause Analysis must be created for every unscheduled outage or impact to production. ● Perform network-intensive operations after normal business hours. ● Must be available for on-site and remote assistance with issues related to the project. ● Utilize/repurpose existing hardware whenever possible. ● Motivate and lead cross-functional teams. ● Manage stakeholder groups at various levels of the organization to build trust and forge critical consensus. ● Meets legal, regulatory, and policy mandates.

    *Education: ● A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline. A Master's Degree is preferred.

    *General Experience: ● At least six (6) years of experience providing system integration and management services for customers utilizing Microsoft on-prem and Azure environments, VMware as well as familiarity with Microsoft Server Administration.

    *Specialized Experience: ● At least three (3) years of experience in the supervision of system engineers, and demonstrated use of interactive, interpretative systems with on-line, real-time acquisition capabilities.
