The ideal candidate will work closely with the firm’s clients, administrative staff, and senior partners. Responsibilities: • Conduct invention discovery sessions with inventors and draft reports • Draft and prosecute utility and design patent applications in a variety of art areas including software • Conduct infringement reviews and patentability searches and draft reports • Conduct trademark searches, draft trademark opinion letters, file and prosecute trademark registration applications • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks • Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action • Prepare legal correspondence including Cease & Desist letters • Prepare and negotiate settlement agreements, license agreements, vendor agreements, and customer agreements • Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings • Copyright experience is a plus Qualifications: • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and 5 years of related experience • Must be a member of the Pennsylvania Bar - active member preferred NJ bar a plus. • Minimum 1-2 years experience working in a law firm environment • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (preferably Lexis) required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) is necessary • Must be able to handle a heavy caseload with little supervision • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must Compensation: $120,000+
