SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
As a member of the Development and Donor Services team, this position is responsible for collaborating with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) with development and implementation of an annual giving plan for increasing awareness of the San Antonio Area Foundation among prospective donors and the broader community. This position will have shared responsibility for working with donors to increase their giving to priority fundraising initiatives. This position is funded by a three-year grant.

- Strong customer service ethic.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in annual giving, sales or marketing. Development communications experience a plus.
- Proficiency with computers, including knowledge and active use of relational database software, Foundation/Community Suite experience preferred.
- Event planning experience preferred
TASKS/DUTIES
Developing & Implementing Annual Giving Plans
- Develops and implements a plan for increasing awareness of the Area Foundation and its key fundraising initiatives among prospective donors.
- Creates strategies for soliciting donations, managing campaigns and tracking results.
- Coordinates with the donor services team to build relationships that cultivate and steward donors.
- Collaborates with donor services team on strategies, prospecting, segmenting, donor recognition and stewardship.
- Coordinates with Marketing Team regarding development and production of collateral and marketing materials necessary to achieve desired results
- Meets with existing, new, and prospective donors with the goal of increasing assets under influence.
- Ability to travel throughout the Area Foundation’s eight-county service area and to work some evenings and weekends.
Prospect Research & Data Management
- Identify and track prospects for key initiatives, including individuals, families, businesses, private foundations, nonprofits, professional advisors.
- Identify and engage new donor segments.
- Manage database records for prospects.
Compensation: $75k-$90k
