ABOUT THE ROLE:
The ideal candidate will be experienced in drawing blood, maintain patient comfort, and ensuring accurate specimen labeling and handling. You will play a vital role in supporting the diagnostic testing and patient care!
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on patients of all ages.
-Verify patient identify and ensure proper labeling of specimens
-Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing and transport.
-Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health system.
-Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance procedures.
-Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and professionalism during procedures.
-Maintain phlebotomy supplies equipment and work area cleanliness.
-Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to support patient care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diplomas or GED required
Completion of accredited phlebotomy training program
Current CPR certification
Minimum 1-2 years experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply
Excellent communication skills, organization skills, and patient service skills.
