NEEDED: PHLEBOTOMIST

LOCATION: 1640 Skyview Drive, Bruceton Mills, WV 26525

SCHEDULE / HOURS:

• 35 Hours (will not exceed 40 hours per week)
• Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM to 1:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Other job-related responsibilities required for a licensed Phlebotomist.
• Maintain current CPR certification
• Must have graduated from an accredited school or program and currently be a certified Phlebotomist in the state of West Virginia.
• Must be Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certified in accordance with the American Red Cross or American Heart Association,
• Have at least two current years of experience performing as a phlebotomist.

DUTIES: Responsibilities within the scope of work may vary from day to day and week to week.)

• Scheduling of patients for specimen collection as requested by medical staff.
• Daily maintenance of laboratory supplies and equipment, including advising COTR when equipment requires professional maintenance or repair.
• Specimen preparation and packaging for shipment to various contract laboratories.
• Maintenance of laboratory logs and other records as necessary for complying with CLIA, ACA, BOP, and JCAHO guidelines.
• Obtaining laboratory results, providing results to providers, and maintaining appropriate copies, as required.
• Maintain cleanliness in the laboratory at all times.
• Requesting appropriate supplies from contract laboratories and maintaining adequate stock at all times.
• Maintain accountability of sharps.
• Perform hematology labs, urinalysis testing.
• Read MD orders for lab request and perform appropriate testing.
