Mobile Health Screenings is an occupational health and wellness clinic that provides comprehensive in-office and on-site services, including DOT physicals, weight loss management, preventive screenings, and wellness programs. Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our occupational health team at Mobile Health Screenings. The ideal candidate will support a variety of medical services by performing venipuncture and specimen collection for diagnostic testing related to DOT exams, wellness screenings, and metabolic assessments. This individual will also be responsible for conducting urine drug screens and collecting DNA material specimens as part of occupational and pre-employment screenings. This position will be primarily supported in the office. However, some out-of-office testing will be required.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform blood draws and specimen collection in support of DOT physicals, routine health screenings, and wellness assessments. C
• Conduct urine drug screenings in accordance with federal and clinical guidelines.
• Collect DNA material samples for designated screenings and documentation purposes.
• Properly label, handle, and process samples for laboratory testing in accordance with protocol.
• Maintain specimen integrity by following proper procedures for collection, transport, and storage.
• Accurately enter patient data into electronic and lab systems.
• Result reporting and client billing
• Prepare and manage lab requisitions and ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Assist medical providers during wellness checkups, biometric screenings, and metabolic testing panels.
• Maintain inventory of phlebotomy and lab supplies and ensure a clean, organized work area.
• Support administrative functions such as scheduling labs and follow-up calls as needed.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; completion of a formal phlebotomy training program preferred.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) preferred.
• At least 2 years of medical office experience in a clinical or occupational health setting preferred.
• Experience with urine drug testing and DNA specimen collection strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of blood collection equipment, safety procedures, and universal precautions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a professional bedside manner.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
• Familiarity with occupational health, DOT compliance, or wellness services is a plus.
