We are hiring two full-time Phlebotomists to support clinical operations at a federal healthcare facility in Chicago, IL. If you have a passion for precision, patient care, and working in fast-paced medical settings, we want to hear from you.

Position Highlights

• Location: Chicago, IL (Federal Medical Center)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM + rotating weekends
• Duration: Long-term contract (through July 2029)
• Rate: $20–$25/hour (all-inclusive)
• Start Date: July 1, 2025

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture, capillary draws, and collect blood cultures
• Process and accession lab specimens using federal lab systems
• Assist patients with specimen collection procedures (e.g., urine, at-home kits)
• Maintain drawing room stock and enforce infection control protocols
• Provide front-desk support and excellent service to patients and staff
• Ensure chain-of-custody for sensitive or referred specimens

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 1+ year of recent phlebotomy experience required
• Current BLS (CPR) certification from AHA or equivalent
• Phlebotomy certification (preferred but not required)
• Proficiency with computers; familiarity with VISTA, CPRS, or Oracle Cerner a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills
