Job Description
The Marketing Manager will lead the planning and execution of marketing initiatives across multiple disciplines & platforms. The Marketing Manager will be analytical, creative, and possess working knowledge relevant to the marketing function. Example functions are: brand management and content production, information technology, digital and traditional media, and public relations. The Marketing Manager must have previous experience in project & budget management. We are looking for an experienced Marketing Manager who will spearhead the promotion and public relations of our company’s brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Phoenix Capital Marketing Calendar that lists all Marketing activities by month, including strategy, budget, planning and execution of activations
Ensure that management, sales, and administrative teams all receive accurate information as pertains to upcoming marketing initiatives and has adequate resources for proper promotion and distribution
Conduct strategic marketing analysis that will help guide the marketing messages going forward, inclusive of working with our internal finance team and 3rd party data partners to conduct brand studies.
Nurturing new media relationships with publications, websites, reviewers, affiliates, and other media partners
Translate data into insights to drive and improve to KPI’s and overall ROI
Manage content development so it is executed in a timely manner to deliver for launch dates
Responsible for assessment and identification of market product and service threats and in turn recommend competitive marketing strategies to offset the impact of said threats
Manage venue websites, Facebook, and all web partner sites
Manage promotional email blasts to database
Oversee social media planning and execution
Manage crisis and reactionary strategies in regard to brand negativity
Maintain a keen understanding of industry trends affecting brands, though industry research, and make appropriate recommendations regarding communication strategy surrounding them
Develop, write and approve messaging for press releases and pitches, talking points, social media accounts, speeches, media statements, op-eds, letters to the editor, etc.
Monitor, analyze and communicate PR results on a quarterly basis
Oversees all branding
Negotiates advertising contracts
Reports directly to the COO
QUALIFICATIONS
Achieved a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or relevant work experience
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing strategic brand management and marketing initiatives
Ability to travel between corporate offices (Los Angeles and Colorado)
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at the management and executive level
High-level planning skills and tactical skills to execute the plan
Has had success utilizing a consumer-insights driven, disciplined approach to new product development
Is passionate about storytelling and driving results
Demonstrates competence with benchmarked, industry software tools such as social media, Google analytics, digital marketing, email marketing, sales force, and brand management
Personal characteristics that include integrity, professionalism, teamwork, maturity, resilience, negotiation skills, and excitement towards change
The ability to excel while managing a wide range of responsibilities in a quick moving, rapidly changing environment, prioritizing and organizing work to meet deadlines and multiple requests
Demonstrated excellence in written business and editorial communication skills
