Job Description

Responsible for review of Hospice documentation with regard to appropriateness, completeness, and compliance with federal and state regulations and agency policy. As well as, responsible for conducting review of face-to-face encounter documentation for compliance and consistency with patient's Plan of Care.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING? 

• Conduct quality assurance documentation reviews of assigned records to include medication profile, admissions, clinician documentation 
• Conduct reviews of face to face encounter documentation and physician orders.  
• Maintain proficiency/knowledge of hospice reimbursement and compliance as related to Medicare regulations and requirements   
• Participation in quality assurance and performance improvement activities 
• Obtains additional and/or clarification of documentation from physicians, facilities and clinical staff as indicated

Qualifications

• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age  
• Valid RN license in Kansas 
• Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as registered nurse with at least one (1) year in hospice care setting
