    SUMMARY:

    The Graphic Artist reports up through the JLCCTC (Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability) Project Management and performs activities in support of the JLCCTC program’s related application lifecycle and development (software design, code, unit test, integration and testing and support) to satisfy project requirements.  This role works to design and develop efficient graphics/visual content layout (e.g., models and environments) using appropriate tools that fully satisfy the allocated and derived requirements for appearance, behavior, and performance. Additionally, this position will be assigned other projects or tasks in alignment with the level and scope of the position.

    This is a contingent position based on funding from the customer.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Work with Mobile-Web-UI Developers and Software Engineers supporting the development of simulation software applications; creating three-dimensional graphics systems.
    • Design, build, or maintain Web sites, using authoring or scripting languages, content creation tools, management tools, and digital media
    • Works closely with subject matter experts to develop realistic high-fidelity simulation environments in a software-diverse research laboratory environment.
    • Liaise with Product development team in planning features.
    • Support quality control and configuration management of visual content, and the integration of visual content with interoperating software components.
    • Analyze specifications to derive graphics/visual content requirements and requirements management tools
    • Adhere to strict CMMI quality procedures to ensure first time quality in delivered products.
    • Plan a project based on interactions with the client and internal teams in accordance with the client’s requirements.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in Art, Graphic Arts, Media Arts or related field required.
    • Minimum of One (1) to Nine (9) years of experience (dependent on level of position) designing media and application graphics in a software development environment.
    • Ability to learn or research engineering data, drawings, CAD models, technical manuals, and other subject matter/source data to develop and sustain technical publication graphics.
    • Experience with JLCCTC, HLA, DIS, and/or constructive M&S experience a plus.
    • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
    • Proficiency in Adobe CS and basic concept of graphic design and layout.
    • Possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Experience with web platform development software, mobile application design work, and development environment software.
    • Holds (or has the ability to obtain) a DoD Security clearance.
    • Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.
    • Domestic and International travel to Military Installations in support of JLCCTC Program activities may be required.
