    Summary of Position

    The Export Account Manager is responsible for providing premier customer service to current and potential contract customers from the point of initial contact through delivery of the product. It is also the responsibility of the Export Account Manager to achieve sales and profit goals established by the management team.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Program/Export Manager. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.

    • Promptly respond to request for quotes to contracted and export customers. Overall goal is no later than 24 hours per RFQ
      • Coordinate workflow with company staff to achieve closing of sales quotes.
    • Increase sales and provide support for current contracted and export customers
    • Analyze sales data to reconcile with customer forecasts
    • Formulate analysis of sales data to assist in establishing account pricing
    • Develop and maintain existing production knowledge
    • Review customer needs and forecasts to formulate purchasing plan
    • Provide technical assistance and solutions for customer returns
    • Develop schedules for customer orders based on priority, work with Planning to facilitate
    • Decide on expedite costs for rush orders with the guidance of management
    • Proactively review open orders, advising customers of delivery status changes
    • Contribute to a positive work environment based on teamwork and continuous improvement
    • Communicate effectively with the Vice President/General Manager, Production Manager, Sales Agents, Shop Supervisors, Planning/Scheduling, Purchasing, and Shipping/Receiving
    • Work with the Shipping Manager to schedule air and ocean export shipments
    • Provide management with reports as assigned. This includes, but is not limited to activity and adherence to both sales targets and on time performance at assigned accounts
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and codes of business ethics

    Required Qualifications

    • Strong work ethic; self-motivated

    • Good organizational, problem-solving skills, and time management skills
    • Ability to effectively multi-task
    • Creative, forward thinker
    • Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Two- or Four-year college degree in business or related area
    • Four years of experience in sales and marketing
    • Aerospace experience
