Job Description

Phoenix Stamping is seeking skilled operators to work in our Fort Wayne Plant. Our facility in Fort Wayne opened in 2013 and operations have grown considerably. We are looking for growth-oriented operators who are willing to wear multiple hats in a fast-paced environment.  We are seeking the following operators: Manual Welder (MIG), Laser Operator, Press Brake Operator, General Fabrication, Blank Line Operator (Automated Metal Stamping), and Assembly Machine Operators (Hand Operated Metal Stamping). The ideal candidates would have 1-5 years of experience in one of these processes.

Qualifications

Job functions and qualifications vary by position, but the following minimum qualifications will be required:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience
• Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
• Willingness to rotate through multiple manufacturing operations
• Ability to perform standard shop computations (math)
• Ability to read schematics (blue prints) and engineering drawings
• Ability to perform basic maintenance of equipment
• Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce safety procedures
• Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments as well as work within a team environment
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, perform repetivive motions, and lift a minimum of 25 lbs
