About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus Inc. as a Phone Receptionist! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience while supporting our dedicated staff in delivering exceptional eye care.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
Manage patient records and maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with verifying insurance information and processing patient intake forms.
Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
Handle patient follow-up calls and appointment reminders to enhance patient engagement.
Maintain an organized and efficient front desk area, ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible.
Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems to update patient information accurately.
Provide exceptional customer service to create a positive experience for all patients and families.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration is a plus.
Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a medical setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly demeanor.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance processes is highly desirable.
Proficient in using computer systems and software, including EMR and Microsoft Office.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively while maintaining a positive attitude.
