    Job Description

    NBCUniversal’s Owned Television station in El Paso, Texas, KTDO, is looking for a News Photographer. As a Photographer, you will be responsible for:

    • Shooting and editing stories, interviews, videos, packages and other projects as assigned for linear and digital platforms
    • Assisting producers with coordinating and directing shoots and contribute in the pre-production process.
    • Maintaining production equipment and computer backup systems.
    • Keeping up production video database as well as software.
    • Keeping track of upgrades and keep supervisors and engineering department apprised of software and maintenance needs.
    • Completing projects as assigned.

    _ Eligibility Requirements:_

    • Fluency in Spanish and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
    • Two years local television news production experience.
    • Extensive shooting, editing and lighting experience.
    • Experience in field production, Final Cut Pro and Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Ability to create and integrate motion graphics.
    • Extensive digital media knowledge.
    • Compositing and keying experience.

    • Must have a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
    • Must be 18 years or greater.
    • Must be willing to work in El Paso, TX
    • Willingness to travel and work overtime, and on weekends with short notice.
    • Physical requirements required to perform medium/heavy physical work which includes lifting and carrying camera equipment ranging from 15 to 30 pounds for extended periods of time to shoot remote locations.
    • Work with other departments for special production or equipment needs.

    ** Desired Qualifications:**

    • Four year college degree with emphasis on advertising/marketing/journalism/ television production
    • The ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple projects is essential.
    • Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced, dead-line driven environment.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Work well in a Team environment.
    • Excellent organization and communication skills.

    Additional Requirements:

    Required On-Site : This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
