    Photographer Intern – 2026 Season

    As a Sky Carp Intern, you’ll gain valuable hands-on experience, develop new skills, and build confidence working in the sports and entertainment industry. The Beloit Sky Carp are seeking a Photographer Intern to help capture the excitement of Sky Carp baseball — from the action on the field to the family fun and community spirit that make our organization special.

    Who We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking a highly motivated, creative, and sports-minded individual who is eager to grow every single day. Someone who has a passion for photography and visual storytelling, enjoys capturing memorable moments, and is excited to work in a fast-paced, fun environment. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who’s ready to have fun while documenting the incredible experiences that happen at the ballpark and in the community.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Capture high-quality photos of in-game action, promotions, and the fan experience at the ballpark.
    • Photograph community events, player appearances, and special Sky Carp events.
    • Edit and deliver photos in a timely manner for use across social media, marketing, and digital platforms.
    • Organize and maintain the team’s photo library and digital assets.
    • Work with the marketing and social media teams to ensure key moments and promotions are documented.
    • Capture behind-the-scenes content that showcases the energy and atmosphere of Sky Carp baseball.
    • Assist in creating visual content that can be used throughout the season and off-season.
    • Support game day promotions and community events when needed.
    • Represent the Beloit Sky Carp positively and enthusiastically in the community.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Own and operates their own camera equipment
    • Demonstrated experience in sports photography
    • Currently pursuing a degree or career in photography, media production, communications, marketing, or a related field.
    • Ability to drop photos in a matter of minuets during big time moments
    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Lightroom and Photoshop.
    • Strong eye for storytelling, composition, and capturing candid moments.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly during live events.
    • Strong organizational skills for managing photo files and digital assets.
    • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

    Education and Experience

    Student working toward a Bachelor’s degree in sports photography, communications, sports marketing, media production, or a related field.

    Physical Demands The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully.
