We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Sales Engineer to join our team in the photonics sector. This role blends technical expertise with strong commercial acumen to drive business development, provide solutions to customers, and grow market presence. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between engineering and sales—understanding complex optical systems and effectively communicating their value to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities within the photonics and optics markets.

• Provide technical consultation and solution design for customers across industries such as semiconductors, medical devices, aerospace, defense, and research.

• Conduct presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with customers and internal teams.

• Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and contract negotiations.

• Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.

• Collaborate closely with R&D, product management, and engineering teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

• Stay informed on emerging technologies, market trends, and competitors within the photonics industry.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, Photonics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.

• 7+ years of experience in technical sales, sales engineering, or business development in photonics, optics, or laser technologies.

• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a technical environment.

• Strong understanding of optical components, lasers, imaging systems, or related technologies.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).

• Familiarity with manufacturing or integration of photonics systems.

• Established customer network in key photonics industries.
