SUMMARY: The HR Intern will be responsible for supporting Phusion’s day-to-day HR on and off boarding tasks, while also project managing key priorities across the Phusion organization. Primary Responsibilities:· Assists in providing orientation for new employees by providing information packets, reviewing company policies, gathering withholding and other payroll information, benefit programs, and obtaining signatures for documents.· Maintains and organizes human resources records for employees by recording the hiring, transfer, termination, change in job classifications, and merit increase dates as well as tracking vacation, sick, and personal time.· Documents and tracks human resources actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.· Acts as the first point of contact for personnel queries.· Process internal arrangement such as travel, training sessions, new hire office visits, and team-building events.· Arranges external reservations when needed. Education and Experience Requirements:· Bachelor’s degree and/or work equivalent· One year of administrative support experience· Microsoft suite experience· Scheduling experience· Familiarity with business software such as Microsoft Office· A high level of confidentiality· Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills· Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Required Qualities: Leadership. Can do what needs to be done without being told. You show initiative, identify problems, and solve them before they make themselves known. This can either be something as small as ensuring leadership has eaten (or ordered) lunch before a big meeting, or something that can have a larger impact—like filtering distractions. A high level of discretion is required.Resourceful + Adaptable. Practice sound judgement, knowing when and how to take action, ability to respond to and resolve unexpected issues and can quickly switch gears, while also ensuring that your original task is still completed in a timely manner.Organization. Organizational skills are at the top of the list and for a good reason. You will need to know everyone’s schedule, as well as your own. The role requires juggling 3rd party suppliers, long-term business plans, as well as day-to-day operations.Communication.
