Qualifications:
Completion of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year institution, preferably with a specialization in physical education, kinesiology, physiology, physical therapy, or nutrition and health.
Must hold a valid PE Teacher State Certification and for statement of eligibility
Demonstrated experience in educational or group settings involving children, such as park and recreation centers, scout organizations, or fitness programs.
2-year minimum previous experience teaching at the K-8 level

Ability to inspire and encourage student engagement in a variety of fitness and wellness activities.
Effective skills in teaching and managing student behavior within large group environments, indoors and outdoors.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities to build positive relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
Adaptability and readiness to navigate diverse educational settings and handle various situations with composure and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Designs and implements appropriate instruction of content area(s)/course(s) assigned in accordance with state standards, curriculum, and students’ needs.
Creates a positive educational climate for students to learn in an atmosphere of respect and rapport.
Creates and delivers relevant and rigorous lessons that maximize student engagement and achievement.
Observes and evaluates student performance and mastery of standards, monitors student assessment data, and maintains student grades and attendance.
Manages student behavior in the classroom by utilizing effective classroom management strategies and invoking appropriate disciplinary procedures.
