    Title:  Travel Physical Therapist (exclusively for PRN company; sign-on BONUS & monthly stipend)

    Location:  West Coast, specifically for CA (LA/OC area) and CO

    Overview:  If you love to travel and explore the west coast, then become a travel PT for us. We are in need of a full-time travel Physical Therapist in our many outpatient orthopedic/sports rehab clinics throughout the west coast. We are looking for someone who wants to become an expert clinician and passionate about helping people with a combination of manual techniques and therapeutic exercise. We are seeking someone who can incorporate evidence-based practice with the ability to communicate and connect with patients.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Evaluates all patients referred for physical therapy
    • Sees that all referral sources are advised of clinic action for the case referred
    • Maintains a patient treatment schedule consistent with the needs of the clinic
    • Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations according to APTA standards of practice as well as state standards
    • Develop Plan of Treatment for each patient based on initial and ongoing
    • Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility documentation procedures
    • Evaluate mobility, strength and current level of patient function, while setting goals to improve in these areas that are scaled to patient abilities and realistically attainable
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications, etc.
    • Provide physical therapy evaluation and treatment to patients in accordance with all pertaining laws and regulations
    • Deliver services in accordance to the "Code of Ethics" and the "Guide to Professional Conduct of the Physical Therapist" and “Guide to Physical Therapist Practice” as set forth by the American Physical Therapy Association
    • Appropriately supervise all ancillary personnel in regards to the treatment of the patient
    • Maintain all documentation on a timely basis and in accordance with the laws and regulations of the state’s policies and practices
    • Submit all charges for services rendered in accordance with current policy
    • Assist the Clinical Director in the operation of the non-patient aspects of the organization as requested
    • Attend all business and educational meetings scheduled
    • Act in the best interest of the organization in both patient and non-patient areas

    Education & Experience:

    • 1+ year PT outpatient ortho experience preferred
    • Familiar with Raintree system or similar preferred
    • Masters and Doctorate of Physical Therapy (PT) from an accredited physical therapy (PT) program approved by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association in collaboration with the American Physical Therapy Association
    • State licensed as a Physical Therapist (PT) by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee for states assigned.
    • Current CPR Certificate

    • Must also have strong written and oral communication with interpersonal skills
    • Team collaboration and clinical reasoning are also necessary
