Title: Ergonomist Specialist

Location: San Diego

Overview: As an employee of Physical Rehabilitation Network (PRN), you will work onsite at a prominent high technology company to evaluate and implement creative safety solutions - in a truly unique work environment. Using a risk-based approach, you will strive to create the safest workplace possible, while enabling dynamic business growth. This position will allow the EHS group to deliver a world-class occupational safety program.

This is for a part-time ergonomist opportunity with Apple in the San Diego area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-person and virtual ergonomic assessments and record findings and recommendations by documenting assessments
• Collaborate with other groups within the organization (HR, Wellness, etc.) to develop a holistic approach to employee health and wellness that includes promoting wellness at both work and home
• Collaborate with EHS Regional Safety Managers to increase program awareness and coordinate resources in offices for specific regions as needed
• Collect regionally-applicable metrics to assess program performance and identify trends
• Coordinate multiple projects at one time while meeting all key deliverables
• Manage projects related to assigned region, including onsite staff; reporting and communicating regularly with the Global Ergonomics Team Lead
• Additional projects as assigned, per Global Ergonomics Program Manager

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Sports Science, physiology, occupational therapy or any other related field of study or equivalent practical experience
• 3 years minimum of experience working as an Ergonomist in an office or industrial setting and/or related experience
• Proficiency in the following applications: Google documents (sheets, forms, slides, drive) and Google platforms (Hangout, Chrome, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Experience working cross-functionally across various organizational groups
• Experience in project management
• Travel may be required on an as-needed basis.
