Responsibilities: • Review the data gathered from the patient's tests and examinations, then make recommendations based on your findings • Use physical therapy on patients to reduce pain and improve mobility as advised by doctor • Ask patients about their physical status, including any injuries or mobility concerns • Collaborate with others in the medical field and seek their opinions • Ensure that patient care records are correct, and adhere to all regulations and guidelines • Provide physical therapy services to patients in their homes under the supervision of the Physical Therapist • Implement treatment plans established by the supervising PT • Assist patients with exercises to improve strength, mobility, balance, and endurance • Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising PT • Document patient visits and treatment notes accurately and in a timely manner • Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and fall prevention • Maintain compliance with home health regulations and agency policies Qualifications: • Successful candidates will need strong analytical, communication, and observational skills • Must have a bachelor’s degree or higher and a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) • Passage of the National Physical Therapy Exam (NPTE) is required for this position • Must have a current state license to practice in the state you reside in • We prefer candidates with some previous experience working directly with patients in a healthcare setting • Current Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Michigan • Home health experience preferred but not required • Strong clinical and communication skills • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license • Current CPR certification Compensation: $30 - $40 hourly
