Total Care is looking for motivated individuals who are passionate about helping patients recover and are committed to joining our team as a full-time or part-time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in our lively outpatient orthopedic clinic.

Qualifications:
· Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
· Active New Jersey PTA license (or eligibility pending)
· Current CPR certification
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities and Tasks:
· Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed PT, following the plan of care established by the PT
· Maintain ethical, reasonable caseload expectations with a focus on quality patient care over high-volume, productivity-driven treatment models
· Implement treatment techniques including therapeutic exercise, functional training, neuromuscular re-education, balance and gait training, and manual therapy as appropriate to the PTA’s scope of practice
· Accurately document patient treatments, progress, and responses in the EMR in accordance with office policy and payer requirements
· Communicate effectively with the supervising PT regarding patient status, progress, or any changes observed during treatment
· Instruct, motivate, and assist patients in exercises, activities, and use of equipment to promote functional independence
· Maintain compliance with all state practice regulations, APTA ethical standards, and Medicare/private insurance documentation guidelines
· Help maintain an organized, clean, and welcoming clinical environment
· Participate in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and community outreach efforts
· Support a positive, patient-first culture that reflects Total Care’s mission
Compensation:
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $7,500 for full-time PTA positions, based on experience and commitment, paid through structured retention milestones
Pay Range: $60,000 – $85,000 per year (full-time equivalent; part-time prorated)
Part-time arrangements are considered. Compensation and benefits are adjusted accordingly.
