An established physical therapy organization in the Charlotte metro area is hiring a Physical Therapist to specialize in Electrodiagnostic Medicine. This is a career-track opportunity for a PT who is drawn to diagnostic medicine, physician collaboration, and clinical autonomy. New graduates are welcome to apply.
About the Role
You will perform EMG and Nerve Conduction Studies, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, and Neuro Ultrasound working directly inside Hand, Spine, Orthopedic, and Podiatric Surgeon offices throughout the Charlotte metro area. Your work will assist physicians in diagnosing nerve and musculoskeletal conditions and determining patient treatment pathways. This is not a traditional PT patient care role. You will see approximately 7 to 8 patients per day in a focused diagnostician capacity.
Residency and Training
The position includes a fully paid 16-month residency program through the American Academy of Clinical Electrodiagnosis, with mentorship from APTA Board Certified Experts. Training travel to New York takes place in three-day sessions. Upon board certification, a two to three year employment commitment is expected, with top-tier compensation at that stage.
Compensation and Benefits
Compensation during residency is in the range of $100,000 to $120,000 per year, plus bonus opportunities. This role also offers strong student loan acceleration potential given the salary level early in the career path.
Schedule
Full-time availability of 40 hours per week is available and preferred. Part-time candidates with a minimum of two full weekdays of availability will also be considered.
Qualifications
Candidates must be eligible for state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Prior outpatient orthopedic experience is preferred. New graduate PTs are welcome and will be fully supported and mentored. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
