Immediate Physical Therapist Opportunity for a Midtown Pain and Performance Center. Monday through Friday (11 am to 7 pm for 3 days and 10 am to 7 pm for 2 days). $50/hr for the first 65 days; mid-$60s/hr after.
A New York State-licensed physical therapist will focus on rehabilitation and improving patients' physical function. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Patient Assessment:
- Evaluate patients' physical conditions and functional abilities.
- Review medical histories and conduct physical examinations.
Treatment Planning:
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessments.
- Collaborate with chiropractors to integrate care strategies.
Therapeutic Interventions:
- Administer physical therapy techniques such as exercises, manual therapy, and modalities.
- Educate patients on proper body mechanics and injury prevention.
Progress Monitoring:
- Track patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Document treatment outcomes and communicate with the healthcare team.
Patient Education:
- Guide home exercises and lifestyle modifications.
- Explain the role of physical therapy in conjunction with chiropractic care.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with chiropractors and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment approaches.
