    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct comprehensive initial patient evaluations and assessments in an outpatient clinical setting
    • Develop and implement individualized physical therapy treatment plans based on patient goals and functional outcomes
    • Administer therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, and modalities (ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat/cold therapy)
    • Provide patient education on home exercise programs, posture correction, body mechanics, and injury prevention strategies
    • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care
    • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment protocols to achieve rehabilitation goals
    • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation, progress notes, and discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory standards
    • Educate patients and families on managing conditions and preventing future injuries
    • Maintain treatment areas following infection control protocols and safety guidelines

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program
    • Licensure: Current New York State Physical Therapist license or eligibility to obtain licensure at time of hire
    • Certification: BLS/CPR certification required within 90 days of employment
    • Experience: Prior outpatient physical therapy experience strongly preferred
    • Clinical Skills: Proficiency in orthopedic, musculoskeletal, and neurological rehabilitation techniques
    • Communication: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
    • Organization: Strong time management skills with ability to manage varied patient caseload
    • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 30 pounds independently and 150 pounds with assistance; frequent standing, walking, bending, and patient transfers
