Description We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to help clients improve mobility, restore function, and enhance quality of life. You will assess physical abilities, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide effective therapy to promote independence.
Responsibilities
Conducts comprehensive evaluations of clients’ physical abilities, mobility, and functional limitations.
Develops personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
Administers therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and other physical interventions to improve strength, balance, coordination, and mobility.
Provides training in the safe use of assistive devices, prosthetics, or orthotics.
Monitors progress and adjusts treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
Educates clients and families on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and strategies for improved mobility.
Documents all assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and progress notes accurately and in a timely manner.
Adheres to infection control protocols, safety procedures, and agency policies.
Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity and quality of care.
Participates in professional development, in-service training, and continuing education as required.
Qualifications
Current and valid Physical Therapist license issued by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience, preferably in home health, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings.
Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercise principles, rehabilitation techniques, and patient education strategies.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Must pass a criminal background check and be free from health conditions that may pose a risk to clients or co-workers.
Ability to follow treatment protocols, document accurately, and work both independently and collaboratively.
Compassionate, patient-focused, and committed to improving clients’ quality of life.
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes or care facilities as needed.
