  • Responsibilities

    We are looking for a talented Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team for a leave coverage that starts in December

    Hourly Rate Range: $51.00 - $68.00 per hour

    Responsibilities would include:

    • Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students’ motor function, mobility, and school-based physical therapy needs.
    • Contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and develop therapy plans that support students’ access to and participation in school.
    • Provide direct physical therapy services to improve gross motor skills, posture, balance, coordination, and mobility.
    • Collaborate with teachers, families, and special education teams to incorporate therapy strategies into the school day.
    • Recommend adaptive equipment, positioning strategies, and accessibility accommodations.
    • Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, and service documentation in accordance with Ohio Department of Education and Workforce requirements and IDEA.
    • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and multidisciplinary team discussions.
    • Train and support school staff on safe mobility, positioning, and strategies that help students participate in classroom activities.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program; a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or qualifying earlier degree is accepted.
    • Current Ohio physical therapist license issued by the Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Trainers Board.
    • Ohio Professional Pupil Services license in Physical Therapy, or eligibility to obtain one, if required for the assignment.
    • Experience working with children or in a school setting preferred.
    • Successful completion of required fingerprinting, background checks, and school onboarding.
