At TX-STAR Speech Language Services, we partner with school districts across Texas to support students with diverse physical and developmental needs. We are currently hiring Physical Therapists (PTs) for school-based opportunities in the Austin area and surrounding communities.

This role is ideal for clinicians who are passionate about helping students improve mobility, access their learning environment, and build independence in a school setting.

What You’ll Do

As a Physical Therapist in a school setting, you will support students’ physical development and access to education through individualized therapy services.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals

• Evaluate students’ motor skills, mobility, and physical functioning

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans

• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers

• Support students in accessing their educational environment safely and effectively

• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed

• Maintain accurate and compliant documentation and service logs

• Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute recommendations

What You’ll Need

• Active Texas Physical Therapy license

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program

• Experience working with pediatric or school-based populations is a plus

• Strong understanding of IEP processes and school-based services

• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Strong communication and organizational skills
