Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hybrid Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Billings, Montana. This role offers a blend of in-person and remote services, supporting students in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with pediatric populations and a strong understanding of school-based therapy services.
This position focuses on improving students’ functional mobility, strength, and independence to support their success in the educational environment. The Physical Therapist will assess, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with school teams, families, and other professionals to deliver high-quality care.
Candidates who hold a valid Montana PT license will be given priority consideration.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students’ physical abilities, mobility, and functional needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student IEP goals
- Provide direct physical therapy services in both in-person and virtual (teletherapy) formats
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to ensure optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, positioning, and accessibility within the school environment
- Educate families and school staff on strategies to support carryover of therapy goals
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of services, progress, and treatment plans
- Stay current on best practices in pediatric physical therapy and school-based services
Experience
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred
- Strong background in pediatrics and physical therapy interventions
- Knowledge of IEP processes, educational impact, and school-based service delivery models
- Familiarity with therapeutic techniques related to mobility, strength, balance, and coordination
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology, and motor development
- Experience with assistive technology and adaptive equipment is a plus
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and hybrid service delivery
