Position Summary
We are seeking Physical Therapy Aides to assist Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants in the daily flow and management of patients, including support in the aquatic therapy area, facility cleaning, and other operational tasks. This role is ideal for individuals interested in a healthcare career and looking to gain hands-on experience in a clinical setting.
Essential Job Functions
Assist therapists with patient care and related activities under direct, on-site supervision
Support patient data intake and documentation as permitted by state regulations
Report delegated treatment procedures to supervising therapists
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of clinic equipment and facilities
Comply with all regulatory standards, HIPAA, and facility policies
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of training and legal guidelines
Qualifications
Interest in pursuing a career in Physical or Occupational Therapy or related healthcare field
Ability to meet physical demands and pass competency testing
High school diploma or equivalent required
Health Occupations or college-level science courses desirable
Previous healthcare experience or volunteer hours preferred
Physical Demands
Lifting: 5–35 lbs (floor to overhead)
Carrying: 5–10 lbs for 40–50 feet
Pushing: 5–150 lbs on casters or pulleys
Sustained grip strength: 40–50 lbs for 1–2 minutes
Guarding lift loads: up to 140 lbs
Manual dexterity and general strength required
Exposure & Compliance
Potential exposure to hazardous substances and bloodborne pathogens
Eligible for access to PHI/EPHI in compliance with HIPAA standards
Must adhere to the Facility’s Comprehensive Compliance Plan (CCP)
