    Job Overview

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. You will play a vital role in helping patients regain mobility and improve their overall quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions.

    Duties

    • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
    • Provide hands-on therapy techniques including orthopedics, trigger point therapy, and other modalities as directed.
    • Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately.
    • Educate patients and their families on care plans and home exercise programs to promote recovery.
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals in skilled nursing facilities, clinics, and other settings to ensure comprehensive patient care.
    • Participate in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving therapy.
    • Actively lead exercise classes, participate in community events, and work collaboratively with community personnel.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

    Requirements

    • Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or equivalent experience.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic physiology is essential.
    • Experience or familiarity with geriatrics, pediatrics, discharge planning, and care plans is preferred.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
    • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in various settings.
    • A commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
