Job Summary
We are seeking a California certified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team! A certified Physical Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care, guides therapeutic exercises, and records patient progress under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
Responsibilities
Applying Interventions: Administer treatments like soft tissue massage, balance training, and modalities such as heat or cold therapy. Assisting with Mobility: Help patients safely use assistive devices like walkers, crutches, or braces. Monitoring Responses: Observe patient reactions during treatments and modify activity levels as needed within the care plan
Recording Progress: Log patient status, session data, and milestone achievements after every visit. Reporting to Supervisors: Discuss patient responses and any new concerns directly with the supervising physical therapist. Educating Families: Teach patients and their families home-care exercises, safety precautions, and post-treatment limitations.
Qualifications
Current California state licensing for physical therapy assistance required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to create a positive, nurturing environment
Familiarity with Webpt EMR
The ability to work well and make decisions
