Position Overview
We are seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who is passionate about patient care and eager to grow with us. This role offers flexible scheduling, with opportunities for both full-time and part-time work.
You will work closely with patients to support their recovery, independence, and functional goals through individualized care plans.
Responsibilities
Provide therapy services in assisted living and home health settings
Assist patients with exercises and daily functional tasks, ensuring safety and proper form
Motivate and encourage patients through recovery and major life changes
Review and administer individualized treatment plans
Observe, assess, and document patient progress accurately
Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff
Assist patients using support devices (walker, cane, wheelchair)
Maintain equipment and ensure a clean, safe work environment
Adapt to changing patient needs and prioritize multiple tasks
Qualifications
Valid Indiana Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing
Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
Specialized skills a plus:
Ergonomics
Blind/visual rehabilitation and assistive technology
Functional capacity evaluations
Geriatrics
Driver rehabilitation and home-based primary care
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to create a positive, nurturing environment
Evidence of annual TB test and other state-required screenings
