    Physical Therapy Tech - will train * English and Spanish (bilingual required)* Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a full-time Physical Therapy Technician. This vital role supports our licensed Physical Therapists (PTs) and Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) in providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate must be fluent in both English and Spanish to effectively communicate instructions, answer non-clinical questions, and ensure a comfortable environment for our diverse patient base. Responsibilities: Patient Care and Support • Assist patients in preparing for treatment, including setting up equipment and securing them properly for exercises. • Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and activities as directed and supervised by a licensed PT or PTA. • Apply and remove hot/cold packs, TENS units, ultrasound devices, and other modalities under the direct supervision of a licensed clinician. • Maintain open, clear, and empathetic communication with patients, ensuring instructions are understood, especially for Spanish-speaking patients. • Assist patients with safe transfers, ambulation, and movement within the clinic. Clinical Administration • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the treatment areas, equipment, and supply storage. • Sanitize treatment tables and equipment after each patient use. • Manage inventory of supplies and inform the appropriate staff member when supplies are low. • Perform basic administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and managing patient charts, as needed. Communication and Language Fluency • Essential: Provide interpretation and translation assistance between the clinical staff and Spanish-speaking patients/family members regarding non-clinical instructions, scheduling, and general inquiries. • Ensure all verbal and written instructions provided to Spanish-speaking patients are clear and culturally sensitive. Preferred • Previous experience not needed, will train • Licensed massage therapy a plus, but not required. Qualifications: • Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish (bilingual required). • Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week), with potential Saturday shifts. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and assist patients with mobility. Compensation: $20 - $24 hourly
