Are you interested in or already on your path toward Physical Therapy school or a similar degree? Would you like to establish yourself with a world-class physical therapy company? If so, FYZICAL's Rehab Technician position in Provo, UT, is the perfect fit for you!
Great to hear from you. I'm doing interviews for a waiting list for any changes that happen during Summer and then for positions that will become open for the Fall Semester. If you are interested in interviewing for our 1-year internship and in getting on our waiting list, please reply back and I'll set up a FACETIME interview with you as soon as possible. We have been doing this internship with students for the past 38 years. We have quite a few pre-PA, pre-Pt, pre-med, nursing etc students in our internship because it's a fun way to get patient care hours since patients are coming in on a regular basis and it's an opportunity to really build connections with patients. Our goals with the internship include:
Get students started in the medical field without experience—all training is done on the job.
Get students earning patient care hours. . .during our 1 year internship they can earn up to 900 hours. (Students work either 12 or 18 hours a week on shifts from 7 am to 1 p.m. In the mornings on either MWF or TH. The afternoon shifts are from 1 p.m. To 7 p.m. On either T TH or MWF afternoons and we are open on Saturday mornings from 7 am to noon.)
Give opportunities for our Physical Therapists to get to know the student so they can help them by writing them a letter of recommendation. We want to build a trust and rapport between the PT and student. (Students who fulfill the 1 year internship, are eligible for a letter of recommendation.)
Help students have experiences with patients where they build a professional relationship and are part of a team and see the progress that they can write about on their Grad school applications.
Help students have experiences with patients that prepare them for interviews.
Students may fulfill an internship requirement for their major or earn 4 credit hours at either BYU or UVU.
This is a paid internship. . .but it is an internship and is not highly paid as we don't have large budgets to work with and are trying to help as many students get started as I can. Let me know after reading this further information if this is what you are looking for. If it is, I will set up a facetime interview that will last 15 minutes. For the interview, I will need you to send me your resume, and also have you put your name on a smallish piece of paper that I can have you hold while I take a photo of you so your name and face are in the same photo.
I sincerely hope I've answered your questions and am happy to answer any further questions.
