At Vitality Physical Therapy the role of a Physical Therapy Technician (PTT) is to provide support and assistance at the direction of the Physical Therapist. (PT)

Job Duties and Tasks:

• Provide patient support by directing/helping patients upon initial arrival and escorting to proper treatment area.
• Assist patients through their exercise programs as directed by the Physical Therapist.
• Communicate with Therapist on patient status/needs/changes as they arise
• Place patients on therapeutic modalities such as ice, heat, vasopneumatic devices as indicated by Physical Therapist.
• Ensure that treatment areas are cleaned, sanitized, and equipment returned to proper positions/locations after patient use/treatment.
• Assist Physical Therapist with the preparation and delivery of home exercise programs for patients.
• Assist Physical Therapist with scanning and patient document transcription and other administrative tasks.
• Ensure linens and supplies are fully stocked for each treatment area.
• Adhere to all HIPAA privacy act policies as it relates to patient, staff, and office information.

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent -A background in a health/exercise related field is a highly recommended (eg PTT certificate, personal trainer, exercise physiologist, kinesiologist, medical assistant)
• Candidate should be friendly, hard-working, punctual, self-motivated, and have strong communication skills
• Minimal to moderate skills with working on computers to include, Microsoft Word, EMR systems/database, internet, and e-mail. -Being fluent in Spanish is a plus
