    Summary

    A Rehab Technician’s main role is to assist therapists in providing patient care, including providing direct care to individuals as needed. Rehab Technicians must follow all directions given by the Physical Therapist to help ensure that patients receive correct treatments, and they need to integrate the Physical Therapist's directions with the patients' goals during treatment sessions. Additionally, they help assist their department in clerical and administrative tasks to ensure the department runs smoothly.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Provides non-patient care activities as delegated by the supervising physical therapist in an expedient manner.

    Responsible for working with physical therapist and physical therapist assistant to assure that patients are treated promptly in accordance with their scheduled appointments.

    Setup, clean, and maintain equipment and treatment areas under the supervision of therapists.

    Schedule, prepare and transport patients to rehabilitative treatments.

    As time may allow, responsible for filing of paperwork and other miscellaneous office functions.

    Responsible for always maintaining the highest standards of professional conduct that best represent the company.

    Assures that behavior and conduct throughout the billing/admin department is in line with company’s values statement.

    Identifies inefficacies throughout the workplace and presents plans and solutions for best practices.

    Is a student of leadership, professional, and personal growth.

    Leads by example in all areas.

    Education and/or Experience

    High School Graduate or GED

    Language Skills

    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Computer Skills

    To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of internet software; Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    Certified Athletic Trainer licensed in the State of New York a plus.
